  7. welp lol in retrospect this helps NO ONE. i guess it’s less of a process pic and more of a main phases + tips kind of thing. i’ll make a more detailed one on each step some time…. welp lol in retrospect this helps NO ONE. i guess it’s less of a process pic and more of a main phases + tips kind of thing. i’ll make a more detailed one on each step some time….

  8. Anonymous said: I've always wondered how your coloring/linearting process went, could you ever post progress shots? Only if you're not busy, of course! u3u

sure haha, i’m always hesitant to make process/tutorials because my technique is pretty similar to every other CG tutorial out there, but i’ll try and throw something together if people are curious! for now i’ll upload an old process from my blog.

  10. Thanks for the follows and retumbles!! I’m kind of like surprised/overwhelmed already lol.
Anyway I enjoy drawing a variety of styles/subject matters, so this thing might be all over the place depending on how brave I am with uploading. Stay tuned…

For Msh!
Msh is one of my favourite artists & I have a lot of gratitude towards her. I’m going to tell you why, fuq this is gonna be so corny, but I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS.
I was about 12 or 13 when I first discovered Neopets, and truthfully, I can say that all of the artists I found and met on Neopets were the reason I began to have an interest in drawing. Msh was one of them.
I have always admired her, not only because she has always turned out phenomenal work, but because she has always been humble and sweet. I suppose that’s kind of like ‘big deal’ but … when I was 13, I loved hassling all my favourite artists (I’m sure we all did, right?!) and Msh was always so genuinely interested in what I had to say (at least, I felt she was HAHA). I used to ply her with all kinds of terrible just-starting-out-drawing-you’re-my-idol-giftart (I GUESS THIS IMAGE RIGHT HERE IS ONE OF THOSE THO LMAO) and the way she was always so grateful is probably one of the reasons I persisted in drawing. When I was 13 (and even now, to an extent!) one of the things that made me the most pleased is when an artist I really admired thanked me for drawing them something and made me feel like my work had something of value. She never talked down to me; she made me feel as if my work had just as much quality as her own. Once, when I was younger, she did an art trade with me; it sounds like such an insignificant little act, but it meant the world to me, as have all subsequent images she has ever drawn for me.
Many artists I met during Neopets circa 2003/04 were a lot like Msh; many of them were incredibly talented young people and most, if not all of them (that are still around) have gone on to become phenomenal artists, some of them carving out a career. When I was 13, I had so much contact with these artists that I admired, but what I remember the most, 7 years on, is that none of them snubbed me. I owe a lot to the artists who actually paid some kind of attention to me as a silly 13 year old discovering the wonders of Photoshop. I know the way that I was treated by people I admired when I was 13 has a direct relation to the way I treat, and feel, about people on the internet now.
Msh has always represented to me, the kind of person I would like to be thought of by other people. So thank you, Msh! Thank you so much for your kindness throughout the years ♥!
